Gearing up for Game 3 of the ALCS.

As expected, the Yankees are up 2-0 over the Angels in the ALCS. And the scary part for Angels fans is that the Yankees aren't even hot yet. Let's look at the numbers:

With Runners in Scoring Position, the Yankees are 3 for 20. That's an average of about .150. According to the standards of actual baseball, that's PATHETIC.

The AL Leader in RBIs this season, Mark Teixeira, has (count them) *0* RBIs in this series. In fact, he has 1 hit. ONE. From the 3-spot in the lineup. Legitimately frightening to think what could happen if he heats up.

Derek Jeter has been hot, but he's ALWAYS hot in the postseason. The man leads the Yankees franchise for Career Hits in the Postseason, beating out the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, and Joe DiMaggio. And even as I'm writing this, he just hit a leadoff HR.

A-Rod is on fire. Gone are the days of "E-Rod" and his playoff choking. I'm not even a fan of Rodriguez, but when the man is in the batter's box, he LOOKS like a fantastic athlete who's 8th on the all-time HR list.

If Pettite is on this afternoon, Game Over. I think the Angels will come away with one, but even that's starting to feel like a long shot. My official prediction: Yankees in 5.
